ALU Designations and Diploma Programs

 

The Academy of Life Underwriting offers a series of examinations to the life insurance professional to develop their skills in life insurance risk assessment. Successful completion of the full exam series, together with a number of courses offered by the Academy's educational partners, leads a student to the Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) designation.

 

FALU Diploma Program

This program contains a series of four ALU exams plus elective courses offered by the Academy's educational partners. These exams lead to the following ALU designations:

• ALU Level One Certificate
• Associate, Academy of Life Underwriting (AALU) Designation
• Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) Designation

The Requirements page will assist you with the necessary requirements to earn the FALU designation.

 

Apply for Your Certificate or Designation

Once you've completed all requirements for a credential, submit its application to the ALU Administration Office to receive your designation and diploma. Each credential has its own application:

• Application: ALU Level One Certificate
• Application: Associate, Academy of Life Underwriting (AALU) Designation
• Application: Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) Designation

Deadline: Applications must be received at least two weeks prior to a Conferment Date for your credential to be issued on that date.
