ALU Conferment Information
The Academy of Life Underwriting confers designations and issues diplomas four times each year. Students who have completed all requirements for an ALU Certificate or Diploma must complete and submit an Application for Certificate or Diploma to the ALU Administration Office at least two weeks prior to a Conferment Date in order to have the certificate or diploma issued on that date. Once issued, certificates and diplomas will be shipped to students via USPS Priority Mail in the U.S., via FedEx International to other locations, within the same month of the issue date.

Students who have received the Fellow, Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU) designation and diploma during this period will be invited to attend the following year's in-person Association of Home Office Underwriters (AHOU) Annual Conference or the Canadian Institute of Underwriters (CIU) Annual General Meeting, where this significant accomplishment will be recognized (Note: those who are part of the January 1st conferment period will be invited to attend the event in that same calendar year).
