ON THE RISK (OTR) is the professional underwriting journal for the life insurance industry worldwide. A subsidiary of the Academy of Life Underwriting (ALU) which provides education opportunities for underwriters, OTR’s purpose follows the education philosophy of the ALU with timely articles and updates focusing on traditional and accelerated underwriting; various product lines; medical, nonmedical, and financial topics; and events going on in the industry worldwide. OTR’s content is created by underwriters, medical directors, managers, and others in the insurance industry willing to share their knowledge with peers in the underwriting profession.
